What was the problem you needed to solve?
Why did you choose Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc.?
I/my organization contacted Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. following a short presentation on the value of elevating diversity, equity and inclusion as a science that has a financial impact when positioned properly.
How did Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. solve your problem?
In what ways was our solution unique?
I wanted to learn more of the business and scientific application of advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and H&H introduced me to several concepts and provided tools to incorporate into my existing programs, activities and services to strengthen them and allow them to be viewed as revenue generator and brand image enhancement.
What did you particularly like about our approach or delivery? The personalized sample report and use examples that were specific to higher education.
How would you summarize your experience as a whole?I found the experience working with Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to be very genuine and authentic. They believe in the work and value of diversity, equity and inclusion and sincerely want to support professionals, especially as we are experiencing direct attacks on DEI of the office that serve students, staff and faculty. I didn’t feel like I was a client or a job but I felt like we were colleagues working as a team to elevate DEI work and strengthen the programs on my campus.
Would you recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to others? If so, who and why?I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to professionals looking to better align their work with business and strategic goals. In todays higher education market the moral imperative of DEI is not enough, you have to be a direct and recognized contributor to the mission and bottom line..the money.

    • Andrea Payne

    • HR DEIB Manager

        Legal Services NYC
What was the problem you needed to solve? Why did you choose Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc.?
  • I needed help establishing DEIB metrics around a critical project where $7.5 million in funding was on the line.
  • Dr. Ed Hubbard is dubbed the “Father of DEI Analytics & Metrics” among many DEIB Practitioners. I couldn’t think of a more qualified person to teach me these methods and strategies. I’ve also previously attended a few of Hubbard & Hubbard’s webinars and know that Dr. Ed is extremely passionate about this material and draws on many years of experience in helping leaders and corporations around the globe.
How did Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. solve your problem? In what ways was our solution unique?
  • I enrolled in Hubbard & Hubbard’s “Transform Your DEI Efforts by Applying the Power of Diversity ROI Sciences” 6– Week Clinic, which enabled me to develop strategies that are science based, which not only helped me to source the data I needed for this project; but I now have metrics which can also be used to help my organization secure additional funding, implement new DEIB programs based on our needs, all while demonstrating our return on investment (ROI).
  • This 6-Week Clinic has also upleveled my thinking and challenged me to look at our DEI mission statement through the lens of using data to create initiatives that will guide our organization in addressing targeted and meeting our goals. I also learned critical frameworks like preparing a Strategic Needs Analysis, and tracking DEIB initiatives through an Intentional Diversity Transformation Scorecard for success outcomes retention.
What did you particularly like about our approach or delivery?
  • I liked that in addition to helpful visuals presented in the class, I really appreciated that the homework assignments were practical application exercises designed to put what I learned into practical use in real-time situations. Dr. Hubbard also uses the discussion method but periodically checks in with learners ensure that you have an opportunity to ask questions about the materials, tools and methodologies.
Would you recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to others? If so, who and why?
  • Dr. Ed makes you feel heard and supported throughout the course. You are truly getting hands on experience while expanding your own DEIB toolkit. In addition to this Hubbard & Hubbard has many books, templates and resources to further support you. Dr. Myra is also wonderful and to work with. Both are extremely patient and offer such depth in analysis and wisdom.
What additional information would you add about Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. that we have not asked?
I would add that that Hubbard & Hubbard are passionate about developing other DEIB practitioners in these methods. They teach in a comprehensive matter with such grace and patience. They are extremely accessible, willing to answer questions and offer solutions. I enjoy working with them and always feel empowered when I complete their trainings, because I leave armed with tools that I have already begun implementing in their courses.

“I found the experience working with Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to be….very enjoyable and well worth the investment. I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to ….any organization seeking to understand and learn about diversity measurements and how to apply measurements within their organization.”

Danyelle Gibson-Grant, Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, Fremont Bank

“Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc.’s methods of facilitation and style is imperative to Diversity and Inclusion Practitioners who are interested in total resolve of Diversity issues especially when it pertains to the DROI. Their methodology is absolute and irrefutable. I particularly enjoyed the training delivery and the Science of Diversity and Inclusion which makes for an iron clad Business Case in sustaining D&I in any environment. This is a must methodology and skill in today’s environments with budgets being slashed and D&I departments and programs vanishing. I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to …. All Federal Agencies whose Diversity Departments are struggling to be sustainable and relevant.”
Dr. Ulysees L. Gilbert II, Diversity, Strategy & Proactive Resolution Service (Acting) Manager
“I found the experience working with Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to be methodical and well-paced,while ensuring that I understood the concepts before moving on. I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to any organization that has not been able to convince their CEO the value of Diversity & Inclusion or commit to its principles be included in all new initiatives.”
Denise Banuelos, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, California State University San Bernardino

I contacted Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. because we are making strides to improve diversity within the organization. Through the process, there is much activity around building ERGs with no measurement around ROI. I chose Hubbard and Hubbard because this group has significant training programs that address ERG, DROI, and assessment around identifying business results.

Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. solved my problem through a number of avenues. First, through consultation, the company was able to advise me around the best approach to take in order to support company diversity initiatives around ERG and BRG start-ups, further, they advised ways in which we could actually measure the success of our initiatives.

What is unique about the approach is the hands-on application of assessing the success of our programs, various measures that can be used to assess ROI using diversity initiatives, and how to support change within the organization. Specifically, it was the multi-level approach to assessing DROI through the evaluation of targets, linking needs with evaluation through the Alignment and Forecasting Matrix tool.

Hubbard & Hubbard has a wealth of tools, books, lectures, and personal support that make them unique, as well. The website is replete with tools that are intended to facilitate learning and application.

I found the experience working with Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to be fantastic. They are delightful to work with; one is certain they only want your success and are extremely supportive around any concerns the learner may have. I fully intend to engage with Hubbard & Hubbard regularly through my learning journey in support of diversity. I could not have asked for better coaches, mentors, and trainers than this organization.

I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to my organization and any organization that is truly interested in using diversity to improve the bottom-line within the organization. The reason I’d recommend this organization is that while several organizations teach about the importance of diversity and inclusion, Hubbard & Hubbard actually teach how to apply what you learn in a manner that facilitates support to the business, improved processes, performance, retention, and business results. It is more than simply understanding the reason why diversity is important, their techniques allow one to actually implement initiatives that through the use of diversity, improve revenue, reduce attrition, support diversity hiring, drive business results.”

Ardella Coleman, Human Resources Director, Comcast Cable
“I contacted Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. because we recently created a role focused on inclusion in the workplace and I was struggling to prioritize and demonstrate the value of the numerous initiatives involved in the program.
  • Hubbard & Hubbard, helped me by helping me identify and evaluate the different factors in each of the programs and organize them into a more executable strategy
  • The result was we are reframing our approach to the initiative, focusing more on gathering the data we need to make effective decisions than acting on assumptions or others’ experience.
  • The solution was unique because it combines all of the “traditional” methods of outlining a change management initiative with the ability to define metrics that aid in evaluating not only cost benefit, but the actual behavioral delta that is attributable to the inclusion activities.
  • I would recommend Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc. to anyone who is responsible for creating strategies to address inclusion issues in their organization. While the value of the approach can be beneficial at any phase of your initiative, I think it was particularly helpful for us as we were at the six-month mark when I took the course.
I think its greatest value is to give you the language and methodology that you need to design, develop and implement programs that will move toward your desired objectives in the most cost and benefit effective way.”
Toni Cornelius, Managing Director, Inclusion and Workforce Strategy, Mesirow Financial

  • A unique characteristic of your corporation is that you are able to customize to fit the structure and the culture of the individual organization. I find this ability essential to successful implementation in a government organization.
  • The excellent service we get from your office staff also deserves recognition. It is amazing how quickly my calls are returned, even from the Far East. Also, the written materials we receive are of the highest quality, and are adaptable to our specific needs. Please thank them for such super Customer Service.
